Greene County district court, week ending May 21

In Greene County district court William Richardson, 66, of Jefferson was sentenced May 13 after he pleaded guilty to charges of possession of methamphetamine- second offense, amended from possession of methamphetamine- third or subsequent offense, and possession of marijuana- second offense, amended from possession of marijuana- third or subsequent offense. On the methamphetamine charge, he was sentenced to two years in prison and fined $625 with a $93.75 surcharge. On the marijuana charge, he was sentenced to one year in jail and fined $315 with a $47.25 surcharge. The prison/jail sentences were suspended and he was placed on probation to Boone/Greene County Probation for one year. The fines and surcharges were also suspended. Richardson must undergo a substance abuse evaluation and complete any recommended treatment at his own expense. He must pay $1,000 restitution for his court appointed attorney’s fees and $9,395 court costs. (Sentencing: Honorable Joseph B. McCarville)

Persons pleaded not guilty at arraignments as follows: Randall Craig Clark, 58, of Webster City, driving while license barred; Breeanna Marie King, 25, of Perry, operating while intoxicated; Robin Holly Compton, 39, of Grand Junction, possession of marijuana; Luke Wesley Craig Skalla, 31, of Bayard, operating commercial vehicle without commercial driver’s license; Kole Alexander Higgins, 26, of Glidden, driving while license barred (25 counts); and Randall Gerald Venteicher, 52, of Scranton, domestic abuse assault- third or subsequent offense. Trial dates were set for July 20 for all defendants except Compton. Her trial date was set fort Aug. 24.

Information is available since the return of an arrest warrant that James Kenneth Harris, 34, of Woodward has been charged with domestic abuse assault- third or subsequent offense. The warrant was issued March 21 and returned May 10. Also, James Kiefer Eberle, 27, of Dana has been charged with domestic abuse assault impeding blood/air flow causing bodily injury. The warrant was issued April 12 and returned May 19.

Cases were initiated in district court as follows: Gailee Nichole Richter, 19, of Jefferson, possession of marijuana; Noah Adam Bowen, 20, of Jefferson, possession of marijuana; and Shari Ann Allen, 42, of Grand Junction driving while license revoked.
